K Corp's Singularity is used produce medicine that heals injuries, physical and mental, quickly. It's quite a godsend for those who regularly traverse dangerous terrain, though they're too pricey for ordinary folk to get their hands on. I'd wager, anyway. I'm sure if you're part of their Wing, you get access to them no problem.
( this is a nice one. )
W Corp came into possession of a teleportation technology sometime ago too, if I'm remembering my history right. They use it to operate their WARP trains, which gets you anywhere in the City in ten seconds flat. No harm, no foul. Isn't that nice?
healthcare and public transit are pretty magical ideas yeah.
[ok zoomer. he's sure there's some strange and mystical vore bus-level backstory associated with these, because why wouldn't there be-!! but does he want to know, hmm...]
why is it like that. WARP. does it stand for something? does it even need to? it sounds pretty obvious to me...
( It's just that N Corp hasn't needed W Corp's technology... yet. )
If you lose an arm, K Corp's technology will regrow it in no time flat. If you want to get from one end of the City to the other, you can take a WARP train, and after waiting a mere ten seconds you can step out and be at your destination. Color me impressed if this type of thing is more common than any of us thought, though. They're considered extremely important and life-changing technologies where I'm from, hence "Singularity".
( from the term "technological singularity" naturally. )
[junpei, who has seen movies, knows that singularities are usually not good, so that seems like a weird brag! but he was wrong about the runes (allegedly), so who can say.]
well, we're talking about magical, not common. i mean, if we were all wizards, magic would still be magical, right?

[surely he won't learn anything horrible about the worst city ever!!]

Not as far as I know, but my Wing doesn't work with them, period.

why, do they actually suck? you can never get a seat? weird smell?
i don't know, those don't sound that magical to me.

By some definition, but the word "magical" inspires some "wonderment", doesn't it? Like a child's fairy-tale about wishing on stars.
( magic that doesn't feel magical... )

if you're into second-dictionary-entry meanings, sure. semantically, magic is super cool and awesome all the time, even for wizards. even with runes.
but we don't have those where i'm from, anyway. just normal trains and normal bandages. i've seen alien pods, though.

alien pods? )
Aliens don't exist.

Your world's a weird one, isn't it. No wonder you turned out so fond of conspiracies!
( "your world is weird" says the fucking. project moon character. as if time travel is weirder than limb regeneration somehow. )

once you mess around with enough timelines, it's not that weird.
