[Cool, so, this is happening. "This" being walking around in public wearing this nasty shirt, because it's absolutely a crime against good taste and good sense. But once it's evening, Junpei makes his way to Ardyn's address and knocks.

It takes him an extra few seconds to just open the door and pop his head in.]

Uh, hey? It's Junpei.

[profanation]

[ Ardyn counted a few beats before Junpei just stuck his head around the door and called in. He smiled, got to his feet, and leaned out from the living room to wave him in. He was wearing a housecoat and had a glass of red wine in one hand. ]

Hello! Well, don't linger in the doorway. Come in and make yourself at home.

[Important: where is Junpei's wine. This is his first question, but he skips it and instead jumps to:]

Am I overdressed?

[In his vulgar tee... feeling really black tie comparatively, but in a stupid way. He shuffles in and shuts the door, obligingly coming over and not lingering. Compliment his shirt, please; this isn't an option, because he holds his arms out at his sides to make it very clear it's Shirt Time.]

What do you think?

[ Junpei's wine was in the bottle with the empty glass beside it, obviously. Ardyn would even have started pouring him it had Junpei not raised his arms and showed off the gloriously incoherent, vulgar message stamped across his chest in gold.

Ardyn laughed and set his own glass down. ]

Oh, very nice. Wonderfully tasteless, and yet worn so well as to almost have it. [ He clapped briefly, chuckled again, and then lowered his hands. When he spoke next, his voice was slightly lowered and there was a smirk playing around his lips. ] Of course, the handsome young model might have something to do with that.

Wine?

[Tasteless but almost acceptable is in. Junpei takes a moment to hold his pose, pleased with himself, before he drops it and tugs the hem of the shirt, looking at the words. God, it's awful.]

Imagine if they had this up on a billboard... hah.

[But maybe cut it off at the neck, because Junpei hasn't been well-rested in a year and that doesn't usually sell shirts. Oh well.]

I definitely want some wine.

You'd be inundated with fanmail in no time, [ said Ardyn, not untruthfully. Junpei was a good looking man, but he did look exhausted. He also looked like he was a fingernail's grip away from having a breakdown of some kind, but Ardyn didn't know that that would be obvious to just about everyone. The wry mask of I don't care was very firmly in place; he just had experience enough to identify it.

No matter, though. Ardyn wasn't going to pry information out of Junpei forcefully, and if truth be told he was likely the worst candidate for someone to unload their trauma onto. Best to just indulge the mask.

He lifted the empty glass and filled it with a red wine so dark it almost looked purple. He smiled at he held it out to him. ]

From the winery on the outskirts. They've a good soil pH, and the wine has been aged for a decent time. See what you think.

[Junpei gives him a look; he's not, by nature, inclined to be down on his own appearance, but there's only so much flattery he can stomach at once. Fanmail, sure, okay— he wouldn't know what to do with that, so a much better solution is just to skip it entirely. This may be emblematic of his usual behavior.

Now then: wine trivia!! He's not a wine expert either-- but he's had enough boxed shit to know when a wine tastes good, and once he sips this one, he can say that this one is.]

You went and asked about the dirt? —Uh, I like it. Sorry, should I swirl it around and smell it? That's what people do, right?

Of course I did. Solid acidity greatly affects the flavour of a wine, you know. [ Which was perfectly true! Ardyn was pleased that this one had been a good 5.5; it was prime levels to grow a decent grape. After all, he hadn't even been certain that this place had the same acidity levels or measurements as Eos, at first.

And now, for the question. Ardyn smiled. ] One should always oxygenate a wine, but this has been breathing for a while. Take a sniff, swirl the glass, and then smell it again. See if you can detect any changes.
